In addition we are also able to offer advice to enable you to benefit from the governments enhanced capital allowance scheme to reduce your tax payable, as follows;

ECA

In order to encourage firms to make energy saving investments, in 2001 the Government introduced a tax incentive scheme called the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA). Under this scheme, expenditure on technologies and products featured on the "Energy Technology List" can qualify for 100% first year tax allowances, giving businesses a significant cash flow boost.

The Energy Technology List can be accessed at www.eca.gov.uk/etl.  Products must be individually listed here to qualify for ECA.

There are many categories of technologies on the Energy Technology List.   Daikin are concerned mainly with:

Main Category Sub-Category Daikin range
Heat Pumps Air source: Split and Multi-Split    Split, Sky air, VRV
Water source: Split and Multi-Split       VRV-W
Refrigeration Equipment Packaged Chillers    Applied Systems
Air to Air Energy Recovery Heat Exchangers

There are different qualifying criteria set for each category.  For example, in the Heat Pump category, systems must meet Energy Label “B” in both cooling and heating to qualify.

These stringent criteria ensure that technologies qualifying for an ECA are energy efficient and thus lead to significant long-term financial benefits in addition to the tax rebate. Businesses can benefit by investing in energy efficient technologies that reduce their energy costs and climate change impact.
